Part 4: Axis Bank — Promotional LTF & Co-Brands

Everything you need to know about Axis Bank lifetime free credit cards. Featuring Axis Neo, MyZone, and Flipkart Axis, plus corporate IT offers.

Part 4: Axis Bank — Promotional LTF & Co-Brands

In Part 4, we examine Axis Bank, a major player in the Indian credit card market. Axis Bank operates slightly differently from ICICI and HDFC. Rather than having a large portfolio of unconditionally free cards, they rely heavily on seasonal promotional campaigns to offer their cards as Lifetime Free (LTF).

🏦 Axis Bank’s Core Policy: How Many Cards Can You Hold?

Axis Bank has a clear, internal rule regarding card holdings:

  • Maximum Limit: You can hold a maximum of 3 Axis Bank Credit Cards at any given time.
  • Shared Limit: Like HDFC and ICICI, the credit limit across all 3 cards is shared.
  • Exceptions: Sometimes, an upgrade offer (e.g., upgrading from MyZone to Select) will require you to close an older card to stay within the 3-card limit.

💳 The “Promotional” Lifetime Free Champions

Axis Bank frequently runs campaigns (especially around Diwali or Big Billion Days) where joining and annual fees are permanently waived if you apply during the offer period.

1. Axis Bank MyZone RuPay Credit Card

Originally a Mastercard/Visa product, the MyZone card in 2026 is aggressively pushed as a RuPay variant to capture the UPI market.

  • Standard Fee: ₹500/year (But offered LTF 80% of the year).
  • Best For: Movies and UPI.
  • Benefits:
    • BOGO on Movies: Buy One Get One free on movie tickets via Paytm Movies (up to ₹200) every month.
    • SonyLiv Premium: Complimentary annual subscription upon first spend.
    • Swiggy Discount: Flat ₹120 off on Swiggy orders above ₹500 (up to 2 times a month).
  • Verdict: If you catch it during an LTF campaign, it is an excellent secondary card to link to Google Pay or PhonePe.

2. Axis Bank Neo RuPay Credit Card

The Neo card is aimed at Gen-Z and digital natives.

  • Standard Fee: ₹250/year.
  • Benefits:
    • 40% off on Zomato delivery (up to ₹120, twice a month).
    • 5% off on utility bills via Amazon Pay.
    • 10% off on Blinkit and Myntra.
  • How to get LTF: Similar to MyZone, do not apply unless you see the “Zero Annual Fee” banner on the Axis Bank website.

🛍️ The E-Commerce Heavyweights

3. Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card

One of the most famous cashback cards in India.

  • Standard Fee: ₹500/year.
  • Reward Rate: 5% unlimited cashback on Flipkart; 4% on preferred partners (Cleartrip, PVR, Swiggy); 1% on all other spends.
  • LTF Strategy: Axis Bank rarely offers this as LTF directly. However, during Flipkart’s “Big Billion Days” sale, select users will see an LTF banner inside the Flipkart app. Check your Flipkart app frequently!

4. Axis Bank SuperMoney RuPay Credit Card

A newer entrant, tied up with the super.money platform.

  • Status: Marketed as Lifetime Free.
  • Benefits: High cashback yields on UPI transactions specifically when routed through the super.money app.

🎯 The Corporate Strategy: TCS & MNC Employees

If you are an employee of TCS or a similar IT giant, Axis Bank has dedicated Relationship Managers (RMs) for your corporate salary accounts.

  • Axis Privilege / Select Credit Card: These are premium cards that cost ₹1,500 and ₹3,000 respectively. They offer massive benefits like Priority Pass (International Lounges), Swiggy discounts, and BookMyShow BOGO.
  • The Hack: If your monthly salary credits exceed ₹1 Lakh, and your company has a tie-up with Axis Bank for “Burgundy” or “Priority” banking, your RM can override the system to issue these premium cards Lifetime Free. Always push your RM for an LTF Select card before settling for a basic Neo or MyZone.

Summary for Part 4

Axis Bank requires patience. Do not apply for their entry-level cards unless a promotional LTF campaign is running. If you are a TCS employee with an Axis salary account, bypass the basic cards entirely and negotiate for an LTF Privilege or Select card.

Note: Always take a screenshot of the “Lifetime Free” text during your digital application just in case the bank accidentally bills you the ₹500 joining fee.
